Matt McQuisten, MBA, NRP
Matt McQuisten is an experienced Paramedic and healthcare educator with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare. McQuisten began his career as a volunteer EMT in 1989. In 1995 he completed a Paramedic program and began working as a Paramedic for Rural Metro Ambulance before joining Avera McKennan Careflight.
McQuisten became an instructor and clinical coordinator for the Avera McKennan School of EMS. After completing graduate school Matt began providing education to rural/frontier hospitals and EMS agencies through a mobile simulation program. Helping to improve clinical competencies and providing education on the latest trends in trauma and rural emergency medicine. Matt also continues to work as a Paramedic with rural EMS agencies that experience staffing difficulties.
McQuisten has been a part of several committees and advisory boards. He has served as a state delegate to the International Association of Flight Paramedics. He has also been on item writing committees for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and several quality control committees and boards including CQI member of Avera McKennan Careflight, Rural Metro Medical Services QA committee, and as a hospital representative for the Regional EMS Authority for the City of Sioux Falls, SD.
